About Sarah-Anaïs Desbenoit
Sarah-Anaïs Desbenoit is a visual artist and film-maker who graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d’arts de Paris Cergy in 2020, and is currently at Le Fresnoy, studio national des arts contemporains in Tourcoing. Inspired by long-term research – developed in particular during a residency at the Oasis de Thighmert in the Moroccan desert and a stay at Villa Kujoyama in Japan – her work focuses on the mechanisms by which images appear and disappear, and their influence on memory and cognition. Through the creation of miniatures, but also through the use of video, projection and sound, she hopes to create installations that invite meditation and slowing down.
