About Ali Eyal

Ali Eyal is born in 1994 in The Forest, Small Farm. After diploma from the Institute of Fine Arts in Farm​ in 2015, he studied in 2016/17 at HWP/Home Workspace, Independent Study Program in Ashkal Alwan, Beirut, Lebanon. he studied in 2020 at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. His​ ​work​ ​explores​ ​the​ ​complex relationships​ between personal history, transitory memories​, politics & identity ​using​ ​different​ ​media​, primarily based in the medium of drawing, and further transformed through other media – such as installations, photography, text and video.​ In 2017-19, he was a participant in MoMa PS1, Beirut Art Center, Lebanon; Warehouse, in Abu Dabi, UAE. Eyal’s video works have been included in several exhibitions and festivals including at Rencontres Internationales, Paris, France; VITRINE x Kino Screenings, London, UK; Sharjah Film Platform, Sharjah Art Foundation, UAE; Cairo Video festival, Medrar, Cairo, EGY, among other venues.
