À propos d'Ali Eyal

Ali Eyal est né en 1994 à The Forest, au sein d’une ferme familiale. Il a étudié en 2016/17 à HWP / Home Workspace, Independent Study Program à Ashkal Alwan, à Beyrouth, au Liban. En 2020, il a étudié à la Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten à Amsterdam, aux Pays-Bas. Son travail explore les relations complexes entre l’histoire personnelle, les souvenirs transitoires, la politique et l’identité à travers l’usage de différents médiums. Le travail d’Ali Eyal part essentiellement du dessin, qui est ensuite transformé à travers d’autres médiums comme l’installation, la photographie, le texte et la vidéo. De 2017 à 2019, il a participé au MoMa PS1, à New York aux USA ; Beirut Art Center, au Liban ; Warehouse, à Abu Dabi, EAU. Les œuvres vidéos d’Ali Eyal ont été incluses dans plusieurs expositions et festivals, notamment aux Rencontres Internationales, Paris, France ; VITRINE x Kino Screenings, Londres, Royaume-Uni ; Sharjah Film Platform, Sharjah Art Foundation, EAU ; Cairo Video festival, Medrar, Caire, Egypte ; entre autres.
