About Mehdi-Georges Lahlou

Mehdi-Georges Lahlou is a French and moroccan artist born in 1983, he lives and works in Brussels and Paris. The artist’s aesthetics, as transversal as his range of media (photography, video, sculpture, installations, performances, etc.) set the individual, gender and representation at the foundation of his works. From surreal and transgressive scenes, bodies and objects, appears hidden areas of identities. Among his recent personal exhibitions: Museo de Arte Colonial, Havana, Cuba, (2019); Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen, France (2019); MNAC – Muzeul Național de Artă Contemporană, Bucarest (Romanie) (2019); Botanique Museum, Brussels, Belgium, (2017). Mehdi-Georges Lahlou is represented by Galerie Transit, Mechelen (BE) and Galerie Rabouan Moussion, Paris (FR).
