RAVE-L PARTY

December 5, 2025

A wild night in tribute to Maurice Ravel, innovative and eternally young

Les Apaches will play, improvise, and dance to the works of Ravel and original creations by Fabien Cali, before inviting the audience to a live electro set by Tatyana Jane.

From intimate, hypnotic Ravel to collective trance

Les Apaches proudly embrace their desire to surprise and to captivate audiences through music and interdisciplinary creation in all its forms. To celebrate Maurice Ravel’s birthday, Les Apaches are throwing a Rave-L Party, co-produced with the Théâtre du Châtelet, for a night that gradually transforms the concert hall into a vast industrial landscape, and finally, into a full-blown electro club.

It’s a tribute to the factory that inspired the Boléro, first shaped by the rhythmic pulse and restrained movements of assembly-line labor, then silenced by machines, and finally reborn through the electronic beats of a new generation, freed by music. We are invited to join in their collective celebration.

Far from the black-and-white clichés of a classic Ravel in a three-piece suit, we’re here to celebrate Ravel the Apache, daring, rule-breaking, and forever young. A composer who ignored boundaries, explored every style, and created a new kind of music that still inspires all corners of today’s musical world.

From the rediscovery of a 1929 jazz Boléro, to the creation of an electro Boléro, and a Remix Suite of dances from L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, the Apaches of today dare to do it all.

Musicians, conductors, DJs, composers, VJs, dancers, together they channel the spirit of one of the 20th century’s boldest composers, whose guiding principle was always: freedom.
