SCREENING AND TALK

July 7 2025
As part of the POP-UP Film Residency, the Fiminco Foundation invites you to a special screening followed by a discussion with Sahand Sarhaddi and Abbas Taheri, two Iranian filmmakers currently in residence.
Abbas Taheri is an Iranian director and screenwriter.
There Is No Friend’s House tells the story of two teenage girls who decide to break the strict rules of their school. But this decision has serious consequences, putting their friendship at risk. The film won an award at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival.
Sahand Sarhaddi is a director and visual artist. He directed the film Karun, The Longest River of Iran: in 1998, Iranian poet Hamid Hajizadeh and his young son Karun were murdered. Going back in time like following the course of a long river, memories resurface in the poet’s study, the very place where the tragedy occurred.
