De Toi à Moi
Carte blanche to Jennifer Flay

The Fiminco Fondation presents, from October 15 to November 27, 2022, the exhibition De Toi à Moi with Jennifer Flay, guest curator.

The exhibition brings together works by ten artists with diverse and often plural practices, combining drawing, painting and collage, sculpture and assemblage, video and sound installations, films, performances, in situ interventions, writing and publishing. It highlights the work of Elsa Werth, Liv Schulman, Sara Sadik, Myriam Mihindou, Randa Maroufi, Tirdad Hashemi and Soufia Erfanian, Neila Czermak Ichti, Mégane Brauer and Bianca Bondi.

The strength of their visual languages and the eloquence of their individual and collective commitment are common to them, but it would be unwise to unite these singular universes under the same banner. However, many cross-cutting themes traverse their practices, resonating, responding or observing each other.

The title De Toi à Moi translates, in a deliberately candid way, this notion of sharing and transmission. Similarly, it evokes the original social existence of an artwork; its place in the world resulting from the passage from an artist to his public, at the end of the solitary act of creation.
