About Rebecca Tanda
Rebecca Tanda is a visual artist and cartographer. Prior to relocating to Chicago, she contributed to several geography and mapping research projects in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Exhibited regionally and internationally, her work investigates territory, place and mythology through a materially driven sculptural practice coupled with archival and geospatial research. Rebecca is the recipient of the Penland School of Craft Dana Foundation Glass Scholarship in 2019, Ox-Bow Merit Scholarship in 2018 and the Chinese University of Hong Kong Lee Woo Sing College Arts & Culture Grant in 2016. In 2018, she was an artist in residency at Franconia Sculpture Park (USA). In 2019, she has a slow show in Chicago (USA) at EXTRA projects. She exhibited at Gallery Seven, Lockport (2018, USA), Czong Institute for Contemporary Art (2018, South Korea), Hong Kong Visual Arts Center (2016, China).
