About Anna Tomaszewski

Anna Tomaszewski graduated in 2014 from the Villa Arson. In her work, she draws her inspiration from the natural entropy (or transformation) that she sets in a new context by dislocating or imitating it. By displacing existing spaces towards other eco-systems and other scales, her approach to sculpture develops using through different mediums like photography, video, sound and performance. In 2014 she was awarded the Prix de la jeune creation (Prize for young creation) by the city of Nice and she enjoyed a one year residency to produce the exhibition Ma at the Galerie de la Marine. Selected for the Jeune Creation faire in Paris in 2013 at the Montrouge fair in 2016, her work was been exhibited in different places and galleries in Paris such as Villa Belleville in 2019, the gallery 22.48 m2 in 2018, the gallery Cetraro in 2015. Anna Tomaszewski has also exhibited her work in art centre such as the Villa Arson in Nice (2018, France), the Ciap de Vassivière, Ile de Vassivière (2019, France), the contemporary art space Les Roches, in Le Chambon sur Lignon (2019, France) and at the Kunstwerk Carlshütte in Büdelsdorf (2019, Germany).
