Navid Shokrollahi
Navid Shokrollahi is an Iranian writer and international journalist with over a decade of experience covering socio-political events, economic issues, and cultural journalism, including literary criticism and author interviews. His academic path began in astronomy and mechanical engineering, later moving into economics, management, and computer science—before returning to his lifelong passion: literature and storytelling.
His short stories explore themes such as identity, trauma, alienation, and resistance—often through minimalist narratives that move from darkness toward a quiet, redemptive light. His fiction blends introspective voices with haunting atmospheres, rooted in Persian culture yet resonant for a global audience.
Navid is currently working on a novel set in the final months of Iran’s monarchy and the aftermath of the revolution, tracing its impact on artists in exile. His project blends history and fiction, using narrative tools to reveal the emotional and human truths often obscured by political discourse. By merging fiction and non-fiction, he aims to create a nuanced and resonant understanding of real events and their enduring consequences.
