Bislacchi

Bislacchi (b. 1995, IT), pseudonym of Matteo Santacroce, is a visual artist who currently lives and works in Rome. He moved to London in 2014 to study painting at City & Guilds of London Art School where he graduated in 2018 with a BA in fine art. Across painting, sculpture and installation his work explores processes of transformation of traditional painting supports into constructive elements of the work.

His work has been shown at Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (Rome, 2024), Fondazione Culturale San Fedele (Milan, 2024), Copeland Gallery (London, 2023) among others. He was a finalist of Premio Giovanarte 2025 (Piacenza, Italy), Talent Prize 2024 (Rome, Italy), Premio San Fedele 2024 (Milano, IT), Premio Fragellae 2022 (Ceprano, IT), Young Talent Contemporary Purchase Prize 2019 (London, UK) and The Signature Art Prize 2019 (London, UK).

He was awarded Premio Speciale Inside Art in 2024 (Rome, Italy) and The Chadwyck-Healey Prize for Painting in 2018 (London, UK).
